Caracol Mayan ruins tour kicks off with an early start, leaving San Ignacio at 7:30 am. Guest that may be staying outside of town will experience an earlier pickup time, depending on your location.
The ride starts with travelling through the modern Mayan village of Crysto Rey and then San Antonio. Next you’ll get onto the mountain pine ridge road as you make your way through the pine ridge forest and then unto the chiquibul reserve as you get closer to the archaeological site. The tour starts this early due to the length of travel time required and also to meet the military escort based in the D’silva area of the Mountain pine ridge.
